When privileged 17-year-old Jasmine gets kicked out of her house, she takes what is left of her savings and flees to Santa Cruz to pursue her dream of becoming a musician. Jasmine finds the ideal room in an oceanfront house, but she needs to convince the three guys living there that she's the perfect roommate and lead guitarist for their band, C-Side. Too bad she has major stage fright and the cute bassist doesn't think a spoiled girl from over the hill can hack it. . . .

In this fresh new novel by critically acclaimed author Tara Kelly, Jasmine finds out what happens when her life gets Amplified.

AMPLIFIED was funny, sexy, full of music references, and it certainly would make a terrific movie!

TV-show Review: SUPERNATURAL, Season 3

description
Season 3

DVD Release Date: September 2, 2008
Number of episodes: 16
Number of discs: 5

The yellow-eyed demon is vanquished, but at a terrible price. The battle that brought him down released hundreds of demons from Hell into an unsuspecting world. And it cost Sam his life. But a grief-stricken Dean made a deal with the Crossroad Demon – his soul for Sam's resurrection.

Now Dean has just one year to live. One year to fight the unholy, the twisted, the ghoulish. One year to say farewell to Sam. And one year for Sam to search desperately for some way to save his brother. Mind-bending adventure awaits as the Winchester brothers continue their astonishing odyssey into the supernatural...and their personal odyssey into destiny.

The season starts where we left off in the second season finale: the hell gates opened and a couple hundred demons got out, so obviously, a war is coming. Dean made a deal with the Crossroads demon to bring Sam back from the dead, in exchange he got, not ten, but one year left to live.

The first thing I noticed when I opened the box-set was that the DVD had only 5 discs, that meant there are less episodes

In Beatrice Prior's dystopian Chicago, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue--Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is--she can't have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.

During the highly competitive initiation that follows, Beatrice renames herself Tris and struggles to determine who her friends really are--and where, exactly, a romance with a sometimes fascinating, sometimes infuriating boy fits into the life she's chosen. But Tris also has a secret, one she's kept hidden from everyone because she's been warned it can mean death. And as she discovers a growing conflict that threatens to unravel her seemingly perfect society, she also learns that her secret might help her save those she loves . . . or it might destroy her.

Chicago, Illinois. The town is divided into 5 factions: Abnegation for the selfless, Dauntless for the brave, Erudite for the knowledge-cravers, Candor for the honest and Amity for the peaceful. At 16, every boy and girl is submitted to an aptitude test, and according to the result, the boy or girl must choose a faction, for he will be a part of it for the rest of his life, or will be (God-forbid-it) factionless.

However, for Beatrice Prior, an Abnegation 16 years-old girl, things didn’t go according to the plan, because the truth is, she’s not like the others, she’s Divergent. And she has to keep the secret or the government will chase her and she won’t get out of it alive. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
